Myron James
GALLUP — Funeral services for Myron Paul “Joker” James, 36, will be at 10 am. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Evang. Kee James will officiate. Burial will be at Rehoboth Cemetery.
James died Aug. 16, 2011, in Gallup. He was born June 4, 1975, in Denver into the Salt People Clan born for the Edge Water People Clan.
James graduated from Gallup High School in 1993. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, fishing and camping. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and he loved his nephews and nieces. James was a Denver Broncos fan and loved to laugh and joke with others.
Survivors include his parents Paul James, of Flagstaff, and Bernice B. James, of Gallup; brothers Pernell James, Brent James, Deon James and Aaron Graymountain, of Flagstaff; sisters Brenda Ike, of Gallup, and Tammy Madman, of Flagstaff, and grandparents Harvey James and Mary C. James, both of Cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Ida Bleason, both of Farmington; uncle Bobby Bleason, of Farmington.
Cope Memorial chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Jose Montoya
GRANTS — A Funeral Mass for Jose Frank Montoya 73, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Burial will be at a later date. A Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Montoya died on Sept. 18, 2011, in Grants. He was born on March 12, 1938, in Truchas.
Montoya was a uranium miner and retired from the power plant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Beverly Trujillo Montoya, of Grants; son Joseph "Bojo" Montoya, of Grants; three grandchildren; brothers Danny Montoya, of Albuquerque, and J.D. Montoya, of Trona, Calif.; sisters Dora Montoya, Ida Waitman and Lupe Sowers, both of Wheatland, Wyo.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Josephita Montoya and a sister Sally Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Chavez, Lawrence Gurule, Gilbert Montoya, Frank Montoya, Matthew Vigil and Rocky Montoya.
Compassion Mortuary of Grants is in charge of arrangements.
